Advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) have split society with those embracing the technology, touting its many benefits in streamlining decision making and productivity, and others proclaiming it will be the downfall of humanity. It is no surprise that perspectives on the regulation of AI are just as varied and controversial. This webinar investigates the role governments should or should not have in policing the development and use of AI as well as its implementation worldwide. She was awarded over 30 corporate awards, primarily in the financial services industry, mentored entrepreneurs for 22 years with global organizations and world-renowned corporations and Development Banks and Commercial and Retail Banks as sponsors, and currently owns a business academy, women’s entrepreneurship academy, and women’s entrepreneurship bootcamp program where entrepreneurship, resilience, finance, pricing and tax strategy, research methodology and data analysis for consultants, personal and business credit, corporate governance and risk management, digital transformation, property ownership (real estate (e.g. commercial and residential)), and other courses are taught. Professor Swati Chakraborty is a Visiting faculty (Assistant Professor), at the Institute of Legal Studies and Research, GLA University. Prof. Chakraborty is associated as an Adjunct Faculty with Concordia University, Canada. Prof. Chakraborty is a Writing Fellow, at COMPOSE, Universitas Islam International Indonesia. She is an International Fellow of KAICIID in Lisbon, Portugal. She is the Founder of “Webplatform4Dialogue.”

Professor Darrell W. Gunter is a highly experienced digital executive, consultant, and educator with a career spanning over 40 years in the information industry. He founded Gunter Media Group, Inc. (GMG), a strategic management consulting firm that helps CEOs and C-suite executives build high-performing commercial businesses. GMG is also an operating partner with TriArtisan Capital and has advised its clients on M&A deals.
Prof. Gunter's career includes leadership roles at major companies including: Xerox, Dow Jones Financial News Services, Elsevier, Collexis, American Institute of Physics (AIP) and Gadget Software. In addition to building to high-performing organizations, he also specializes in commercializing businesses.
Prof. Gunter is an expert in semantic technology and has strongly advocated for its use in search platforms and knowledge discovery. He is also an advocate for consultative sales, mobile applications, and social networking in the digital information industry. He is a published author and has written about the applications of Blockchain and AI in scholarly research. He offers seminars on how businesses can leverage AI and Blockchain tools. He also contributed an article about the digital developments in the scholarly publishing industry in the forthcoming book, Doing the Charleston, authored by Katina Strauch and published by The University of Michigan Press.
Prof. Gunter is an adjunct professor at Seton Hall University's Stillman School of Business, where he teaches consultative sales. He also hosts the radio program "Leadership with Darrell W Gunter" on Seton Hall University’s WSOU 89.5 FM since 2009. Prof. Gunter's educational background includes a BS in Business Administration with a focus in Marketing from Seton Hall University and an MBA from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management. He is recognized for his ability to lead organizations through digital transformation. He is a frequent speaker and moderator at industry events such as the Charleston Conference and a member of the Society for Scholarly Publishing (SSP). Prof. Gunter has also been recognized for his expertise in consultative sales, search platforms, semantic technology, and mobile applications.

Professor Olalekan Samuel Ogunleye is a lecturer and researcher in the School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences at the University of Mpumalanga, South Africa. With over 18 years of lecturing experience across institutions such as Cape Peninsula University of Technology, Mangosuthu University of Technology, Tshwane University of Technology, Management College of Southern Africa, Monash South Africa, and the University of Botswana, Prof. Ogunleye has made significant contributions to both academia and industry. His primary research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Big Data, Cybersecurity, Mobile Application Development, and the Internet of Things (IoT).
Prof. Ogunleye’s industry experience includes serving as the Head of Information Technology at the National Institute for Occupational Health (NIOH) and as the Head of Mobile Development, Strategy, and Business Innovations at Eyethenticate Computervision Lab, an enterprise incubation initiative by the University of Johannesburg. At Eyethenticate, he spearheaded the development of a Mobile Facial Recognition system leveraging Deep Learning technologies. He also worked as a Senior Mobile and Enterprise Application Developer at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), where he contributed to groundbreaking projects such as IGLOO, Prof. Math, the South African Presidential Smart Line System, the Indigenous Knowledge Management System, Electronic Health System, and E-Government platforms.
During his tenure at the CSIR, Prof. Ogunleye developed expertise in Cybersecurity, particularly in combating cybercrime, as well as in Big Data and Data Science system development and implementation. His work also includes leveraging ICT4D (Information and Communication Technology for Development) to address social challenges.
Academically, Prof. Ogunleye has a robust supervision record, having successfully supervised one PhD student and five Master’s students to completion. He supervises four Master’s students in various research areas, including Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, and Cybersecurity, contributing to developing the next generation of researchers. He also played a pivotal role in developing South Africa’s first Mobile Application Development academic curriculum for higher education institutions, which has been a milestone in advancing technology education in the country.
Prof. Ogunleye’s engagement in scholarly activities is extensive. He is a Professional Member of IEEE and the Association of South Africa Information System Professionals. He has been invited to numerous conferences as a speaker, where he has shared his insights on Artificial Intelligence and its applications. He has also reviewed articles for several high-impact journals and has served as an external examiner for Master’s and Doctoral theses. Furthermore, he was part of the international team that authored a proposal that won a multi-million dollar DAAD award for a project utilising big data and data science to address food security challenges in Africa.
In addition to his research and teaching achievements, Prof. Ogunleye has actively facilitated Cybersecurity and ICDL (International Computer Driving License) training courses for executives and technical personnel in financial institutions, academic institutions, and corporate organisations across South Africa, Botswana, Nigeria, Swaziland, and Uganda. His contributions extend to assisting financial institutions in identifying, mitigating, and resolving cyber threats.
Prof. Ogunleye’s exceptional contributions to research, academia, and industry have positioned him as a leader in his field. His dedication to advancing knowledge and technology continues to impact various sectors in South Africa and internationally significantly.
Prof. Ogunleye contributed to IGI Global Scientific Publishing by editing the book Machine Learning and Data Science Techniques for Effective Government Service Delivery, to which he contributed the chapter titled Using Artificial Intelligence to Enhance E-Government Services Delivery Through Data Science and Machine Learning.

Professor Loveleen Gaur is a Program Director (Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics), Senior IEEE member, and Series Editor. For over 18 years she served in India and abroad in different capacities. Prof. Gaur has significantly contributed to enhancing scientific understanding by participating in over three hundred scientific conferences, symposia, and seminars, by chairing technical sessions and delivering plenary and invited talks. She has specialized in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Information Sciences, IoT, Data Analytics. Prof. Gaur pursued research in truly inter-disciplinary areas and authored and co-authored many books with renowned International and National publishers like Elsevier, Springer, Taylor and Francis. She has been invited as Guest Editor for reputed Q1, ABDC, SCI journals. She has also published various research papers in SCI and Q1 Journals. She is actively involved in various professional activities and has chaired various positions in International Conferences of repute and is a reviewer with IEEE, SCI, and ABDC Journals. She is currently involved in various projects of the Government of India and abroad.
